Mandated Reporter Training Materials

The Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Training Program (SCAN-MRT) was developed by the Child Protection Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. This state outreach program was funded by the Argosy Foundation, with additional support provided by: US Cellular, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Children’s Justice Act and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.

This page provides agencies with an updated curriculum and materials for use in training mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect.

Training Video Options

There are two methods for you to obtain/view the Mandated Reporter training video.

  1. If you will be presenting at a location where you have a high-speed Internet connection then you can view the training video via the Internet. (Directions are available for this option.)
  2. You can also download a copy of the training video if you will be presenting at a location that doesn't have an Internet connection or you aren't sure about the reliability/speed of the connection. In either case, you will want to download a copy of the video and then burn it to a CD or bring it with on a laptop. If you are relying upon a CD, make a couple of copies in case the CD fails.
