Christopher Dee has practiced law in Wisconsin since his admission to the bar in June of 1992. During his 13 years of practicing law, Mr. Dee has been involved in nearly 200 jury and court trials. In addition to his courtroom work, Mr. Dee has given presentations on various legal topics to other attorneys and to law enforcement personnel. Presently, Mr. Dee is an assistant district attorney in Milwaukee County, where he has worked since January of 2000. Mr. Dee’s responsibilities in the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office have included the prosecution of numerous criminal cases and, for the past three years, the filing and prosecution of approximately 300 Termination of Parental Rights (“TPR”) actions. Mr. Dee has also successfully defended all of his TPR cases that have been appealed. Prior to joining the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Dee was in private practice in Kenosha, worked for the City Attorney’s Offices in Kenosha and Madison, and was a student intern and assistant district attorney in Dane County. Mr. Dee received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While working on TPR cases over the past three years, Mr. Dee has had the opportunity and pleasure to work with case managers from all five BMCW sites in Milwaukee County as well as members of Children’s Service Society and Lutheran Social Services. Those experiences have made it an honor to be asked to be a member of the legal training team for the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership for Professional Development.
